After a few days of rest home in Northville, I’m back to Evanston and ready to start school again. The quarter should be a good one – both in and out of class – with an interesting slate of courses and an exciting blogging and social media project on tap.
I didn’t eat any Coney Islands while in Michigan, but I spent Sunday doing the next most Uberti family thing: afternoon Detroit tour. We devoured pulled pork and brisket at Slow’s Bar BQ in Corktown, checked out the early blooming flowers at the Belle Isle Conservatory and explored the remains of the Packard Automotive Plant.
It’d be easy to spend a lot of time in that plant, trying to reconstruct decades of lost stories. Take a look at some of my pictures of the afternoon – I would have taken more but we were afraid our car was going to get boosted:
